last nights rant probably made no sense becouse iwas
trying to respond to many differern issues. i
appologise.

first let me address global warming. i do think we are
warming a bit. i do not believe it is coused by man. i
think it goes in cycles. there are cycles found all
through nature. my greenland remark is just one cite.
greenland was actually green. there have been
ecscvations of farming communities that had to be
abandoned when the ice came. it was green then becouse
we were having a "global warming" part of the cycle,
the ice had receded. the cycle went to cold and the
ice came. we are in a degree of warming to a little
lesser degree now. why. simply put, it is the sun. it
goes in cycles of solor activities. right now it is
very active. hotter sun translates to warmer earth and
the other planets too. i'll cite the fact that there
is global warming on mars now evidenced by receding
ice caps. and gee, bush and chenny have not been
there. only arnold swatznagger was there in total
recall. bad joke that reminds me of a worse one (i'll
spare you). no cars, no industry, but still global
warming is there.

do i buy off that man couses global warming? i want to
say "who do you think we are? we can't predict climate
changes and weather with much accuratcy and you think
we are chaneing it. rather presumpous i think. kyoto
had not one thing to do with katrina. nature does what
nature does.

now katrina. cat 4 stome hit the hole that the french
built in 300 years ago. (cemetaries has to be above
ground becouse if you did, you hit water. the area is
not drained.) there was a disaster plan. it was know
that the levee system was built to withstand only a
cat 3. it was known that a bigger one woiuld flood the
city that was 20 feet down in that hole.
one part of the disaster plan states plainly that in
case of an emergency evacuation, the city would use
"every available vihicle" to get the poor out of the
city, city busses, school busses, etc, etc. this was
the mayors responsibility. he knew the poor was there.
if it had been an election, he'd have thought to use
any available vihicles to get them to the polls to
vote for him. and no food in the shelters. the mayor
failed pitifully and wants to pass the buck. governor
blanco had many things that she could have done and
should have done. she failed pitifully and wants to
pass the buck.
the feds are next. FEMA and  HOMELAND security Failed
pitifully. first, the law requires that the governor
has to ask for help, but, why should not bush or one
of his people went on tv and said "we have everything
in place, we are waiting for the governors to ask for
help." it would have at least prompted a phone call
and a move. the head of FEMA was saying in interviews
that they did not know there was people in the
convention center. don't these people watch tv? he
needs to go back to rasising horses.

the system failed at all levels. and to be fixed.
blame being spead around does not mean debating
whether or not man can change nature, it means looking
at where everything that was supposed to be done in
response broke down and fixing it.

hope this makes more sense than last nights rant.
