Also, I find that chewing sugarless gum or sucking on a sugarless mint
candy helps - anything to keep the digestive juices flowing properly works.
The tumeric or mustard helps with the acidity. I guess that's why I can eat
Indian dishes with tumeric with no problems at all - what gives me
heartburn is peanut butter (!) and bread (which is a pity because I love PB
sandwiches but actually probably does me good by cutting down on fats and
carbs).
