I believe the material originally matched but as we had discussed a while
back on pinheads, concrete holds dirt, probably much more that glazed terra
cotta and it would be very difficult to develop a color in anticipation of
how much dirt it would collect. Best to ask Theo or Tim Allenbrook (he is
with Wiss Janney now).

I'm sure accelerated age testing has been done on fiberglass but it greatly
depends on the quality of fabrication and installation.

I believe they are replacement units of precast concrete (or cast stone),
not terra cotta. Concrete does not weather like glazed terra cotta.

The presumption is that Theo or Jim Fitch or whoever originally installed
material in matching colors. But that prediction has proved faulty, perhaps
because there was little history in this ... application(!)* Does that
sound right?

More recently, have there been aging tests on fiberglass cornices, GFRC,
etc? Or are we still flying blind?
