I didn't have that feeling as a kid in LA.

However, Mrs. Ralph reported some years ago that she and her schoolmates had
been informed that the intersection of the 2 main streets in Oak Park, IL was
going to be ground zero.

Evidently Mr. Wright's early houses (and Unity Temple) were not the main
target.
