We don't need to be argumentative. I agree with you from the position 
that I have my own limited perspective. "Here is this. Here is that. 
Gosh, I don't know."

As I have said elsewhere, I like coatings on masonry. I got no problem 
with coatings on masonry. I have applied a whole slew of coatings onto 
masonry over the years. I have also removed quite a few of them.
