Hi Phil:

What you were probably hearing was the pile-up for the Duseceo DX-pedition
which went on the air yesterday.
My understanding is that it is a conservation island off Puerto Rico, and is
multimode.
It may explain also the mass of RTTy on 40M.

Here is the tabulated details of modes, bands and frequencies:

Operating Modes and Frequencies
These are planned bands, modes and frequencies. Of course these may get
adjusted because of QRM:

Subject: DX Japan on 20 CW

About an hour before sun down, I heard this huge JA pile up spread out from
14023 to about 034 with JA signals wall to wall. Some well over S9 in
strength, too. I finally found, at the bottom of the spread, K5D running
the pile up. I guess K5D is a special call for the up and coming contests.

Phil.
