Butch,

Just did mine last month via the FCC site.  Not  too difficult with jaws. 
Since I didn't have a frn number, I  had to get that first. So there were 3 
basic steps: first get the frn, next renew the license, finally pay via 
credit card.    The 8 bucks service fee charged by W5YI and others is  no 
big deal, but since you  need to submit your ss number  to get the frn, I 
really didn't want to give my ss number to some third party so they could 
pass it on to the FCC, when I could  give it direct to the FCC myself.
