I think you're thinking of the FT736 by yaesu, that was a VHF/UHF radio. The
IC-736 icom is HF probably from the 80's.

none of them are as accessible as most kenwood radios, but they are
accessible enough with patients.
The IC7100 is the least accessible...I think the IC736 is an all mode
VHF/UHF rig which you can put a speech chip into, though I may be miss
remembering that model...the IC7000 is all menu based, but again, with
patients and some sighted help it's doable.

some cash for medical reasons. Has any blind ham been able to use any of t=
