Hi Tom!
Good article in CQ this month about an Infedz that seemed pretty inspiring.
The 20 meter antenna only weighs around a pound, and having the whole
station stored in a gym bag for transport seemed mighty easy to me for a
week-end trip. Photos show the antenna erected and the station perhaps on a
card table.

Yup, Steve, the second qso must have been from the RV.
You may remember, we had the drivable unit at that time, so who knows where
we might have been!
There are times when I really miss that setup!
Something like that would come in handy this year for field day if I can't
get the DXCC up out at the new camp site by then.
Maybe I'll have to figure out something creative--perhaps even a ramdom
wire! I could always just operate CW, and back down my power so as to
minimize RFI.
May tap into the wisdom of those on the list for simple FD antenna ideas if
that looks necessary by the middle of next week.

In the log twice. Paul did come in first in the tri-bander and wire
catagory for North America, and got me a certificate to hang on the wall.
