Hi all:

Well last night I got a bit of a scare. I went and played radio for about an hr or so but didn't make a single contact.
Thought it very strange, checked all my power and SWR etc and everything was fine until I tried to contact a VE1 station, which is almost a local for me but got no response. Well to say the least I got in a panic and got my XYL out of bed to see if she could help.
When I'd transmit, a frequency 5KCs below my listening frequency would come up on the 102s display. My XYL pointed that out and I got into a further fit. LOL. Then my XYL looked on the remote VFO and asked: "what is the CLAR because its turned on." Well obviously this was the prob. I accidently struck it when locking the VFO as its the next button imediately to the right of the locking button. LOL
So all the while, I was splitting. LOL Thank God for for those with sight. LOL
