Hi there
first I must apologies for not knowing how to spell the brand name as I honestly have not paid enough attention, but I had a chance to play with the dual band mobile the other day, I am wondering if Buddy or anyone else has also played with it. I found the speech to be almost useless, as it did not even speak memory channels , but that may be a setting that can be changed. the owner of the radio I played with for a few minutes said he thought that was the case. if it is I might consider one as the build quality is top notch. I also love the speaker in the microphone as well as the speaker in the radio it is nice when you are trying to hear the radio and don't want to disturb others in the car, say while diving in bad seater or heavy traffic. I do think that after waiting all the time, and after the company supposedly wanting input from blind hams, that the radio is still apparently useless to us. disgusting that you have to spend an extra $150 to get the same features and capabilities. the ken wood requires an optional separation kit and an optional speech board, which come with the other radio. . but the ken wood is far more intuitive to operate even without the speech. sad that almost none really gives a damn about accessibility except ken wood. icon makes a half hearted stab at it from what I read but refuse to find a way to make their stuff truly usable, and yaesu flat to says screw you to blind hams speech not even being an option in their crap.
 any thoughts?
