You can also turn off the internal tuner assuming the rig will still 
transmit enough for a reading.  BTW, I defined the function kay on the 
front pannel to read swr and alc.  As i recall, menu 79 and 80 select or 
deffine the two function keys on the front pannel.  I set one of mint to 
202 which is voice 3 which reads swr and alc.  I'll include the whole 
list of functions in another message if it isn't to big for this list.
