yep, your right it is the ft736 I was thinking of.
And which ICom is the touch screen, the 7100 or the 7200...which ever one,
it's very inaccessible even though it does speak quite a bit of stuff.

I know the IC-7000 has speech in it, I haven't used one but imagine it's
probably pretty close to the IC-706 in which case it is useable but you have
to use it and really get used to it. The 7100 is recent so I'd imagine that
has speech and is probably a little bigger and maybe a little easier to use
than the 7000. I don't know the 736, that's an old radio and I haven't even
heard one in years. Icom generally is not as accessible as Kenwood but put
yaesu to shame which isn't saying much.

Subject: accessibility of icom rigs

Hi all, I was having a QSO with an older chap who has a few Icom radios, an=
IC736, and IC7000, and an ic7100 and maybe a few others and wants to raise=
some cash for medical reasons. Has any blind ham been able to use any of t=
hese models and is there any means of accessibility in these or any other m=
odels. If so I may help him out and take one off of his hands.
Thanks
