Ron, Ham pros has a desk mic with fourth programmable buttons and up and
down.
It has cords available for it for icom or kenwood.

Ron,

As was suggested, there is a Kenwood hand mic available. I think the
MFJ-299 may be the one you were thinking of in the desk mic catagory.
I think it has a lot of bells and whistles that may or may not suit you.

There are also some versions of the MFJ with other brand names on them.
"Inradio" is one, and probably some others. Maybe they all come out
of the same sweat shop in China.

It is also possible there are some other desk mics with the extra buttons,
but without the extra stuff found in the 299, like EQ, and so on.

I have no experience with any of the above.
