Steve is Right, Bill.  I have the TS 480 SA T with the VGS-1 Voice guide it 
cost just over 1100 dollars from H R O from Calafornia, and they put the 
VGS-1 in and did not charge labor for doing it.  That's been a couple of 
years ago.  The Voice Guide does more than I know, but it does what I want 
it to do.  I sold my I C 746 pro to get it, because of the speech.   I ran 
both radios side by side and could not tell any difference as to receive and 
transmit.
