I should have thought of this yesterday, not sure if this is a bargain or
not, but I recently bought a supply, think it was rated six amps at Wally
World for $25.  It is a switching supply and has a cigarette lighter
socket on a pig tail coming out of it.  I ran my i r l p node radio on it
for a while.
