We debated whether a disabled person could become a Rabi, but never put it 
to the test.
That call went to another number.
Since the first law of Torah, is "do not do onto others what you would not 
want them to do onto you".  Their is room for people with disabilities, the 
electronic adaptive equipment is the issue.
No more than the issue with cell phones on the Sabbath.
Their is an express exemption for anything who's removal would risk human 
life.
For example, diabetics are not to fast on Yom Kipur.
