I buy our braille paper from the NFB. I know that the supplier used to be
Continuous Card Systems, or braillepaper.com , and I don't know who they are
using now. 100-pound paper will typically be used for textbooks and other
things that are supposed to last longer. 70 or 80-pound paper is typical,
somewhat lighter-weight paper whichholds up nearly as well. Embossers like
the Romeo RB-40 I use may benefit from some adjustment to get the best dots

Subject: braille paper

I was wondering where you people buy braille paper. I ordered some from
braille thermoform, think that is the right name. Got it today, and I
don't know how weight is done or what weight, whatever pound braille paper
should be, but this stuff is definately thinner. I don't know how well it
will hold dots, but not mearly as heavy as what I've been using.
