You may also want to call Chuck Turner of Turner Radio, 661/ 945-9097. 

He worked on my Kenwood 940 which had not been turned on for 20 years. He brought it up to factory standards and installed all factory mods. 

He did a fabulous job. I understand from other hams that he works on all kinds of ham radios. 

He charges $60 an hour. He charged me $200. The Kenwood is very heavy, over 50 lbs I would guess so the shipping charges both ways came to about $80.

Sometimes if a person has a reply address in their reply address field in
whatever email program they are using, their responses will go to that
address rather than the list address.  That's why I did away with that a
long time ago.
