CU-Boulder will be hosting the 10th annual
Accessing Higher Ground: Accessible Media, Web
and Technology Conference at the Millennium
Harvest House, adjacent to the campus of the
University of Colorado - Boulder, Nov. 6-9. The
conference focuses on strategies for making
campus media, course material, information
resources, libraries, and Web pages accessible.
Highlights
* Over 50 presentations and hands-on sessions taught by national experts
* National Braille Association (NBA) Track - on
topics related to the Braille conversion of
math and science material, the creation of tactile graphics
* The AHEAD Institute on E-Text Production - a
unique one-and-a-half-day institute
on best practices in creating electronic text
* EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information)
track on accessible course content,
e-learning, and other related topics
* WebAIM will conduct two half-day, hands-on
preconference workshops on Web accessibility
