Since our paleo household chucked out its standard-
issue TV long before ever going paleo, I had to view
the 60-second clip off the CBS website. A bit skimpy
and they cut it off just as Ray's family sat down to
chow. But...

I'll say congrats, Ray, that tho they did their best
to make you look silly, your reasonable, affable
character showed through just fine. Hopefully the
pathetic fatties on the show will watch your segment
and unlearn & learn.

And as for suffering scorn and ridicule at the hands
of "experts" like Ornish -- Ray's joined the club that
include the likes of Linus Pauling, who gathered
research, made a synthesis, and lived according
to his discoveries. A triumph!

Current Amazon rank is #71 as of 1999 22 Jan 23:46.

As for Ornish's theory about low-fat, grain based
diets, I'll be generous and say that, like all theories,
it was fine until another, better theory came along.
So another one lands on the scrap heap, big deal.

The Paleodiet will be vindicated as more research
shows that diseases don't just "happen" to humans,
but can be traced not to bad genes per se, nor even
an acute patented-drug deficiency, but to poor DIET.
