Speaking of which - has anyone seen truly convincing science behind
the prions? I know they have won somebody a Nobel prize, but still...
All I have seen so far is some stuff that looks like science, but
then a lot of numbers that don't seem to add up - only a few scattered
cases, no 'infection' even with constant exposure, very slow progression
of the decease. I have learned to question the commonly accepted medical
dogma, which lead me to low carb and paleo (while seemingly everyone
else was still preaching low fat, high grain). I have read a very
interesting book on AIDS - Inventing the AIDS virus - after which I am
fairly ready to question almost any pronouncement of a new and wondrous
decease being unleashed upon us (btw this book is EXTREMELY well referenced,
for those who care). Why am I bringing this up on this list? Because I
used to eat cow brains as a kid (fried in butter) and loved it. It was one
of my most favorite foods. Right now I am still a bit undecided about
mad cow decease, but am leaning to eating brains again. Was wondering if
anyone one here looked into it a little more.

Thank you
Ilya
