Trish, Kyle and the rest of the list,

I have been following the Peter Singer, assisted suicide,
abortion/euthansia, etc. with some interest. I am in the process of writing
a case study of this list for an upcoming publication by John Suler of
Rider University on support groups in cyberspace. I plan to use this thead
in my case study. All personal information will be concealed. I find
discussions like this one interesting, since they illustrate the diversity
of opinions on this list.
I will also reference the discussion of religion and the IEP discussions also.

Being a man and being a parent of two adopted children, I am forever in
debt to two brave women who went through a pregnancy with a child they
could not keep.
Today, I know one of these women and the situation she was in was untenable
for raising a child. I will be forever grateful to these women for
providing my wife and I with two great children. I do not want to take
sides in this, because for obvious reasons, I am biased.

>My suggestion was in response to the sense that when we start talking about
>controversial matters, we tend to see a smattering of "unsubscribes" as
>tacit disapproval. I personally see nothing wrong with robust discussion of

>A son and his father were walking on the mountains. Suddenly, the son falls,
>hurts himself and screams, "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
>
> To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain,
>"AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
>
>Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"
>He receives the answer: "Who are you?"
>Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"
>He receives the answer: "Coward!"
>He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"
>
>The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention." And then he screams to
>the mountain: "I admire you!"
>The voice answers: "I admire you!"
>
>Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"
>The voice answers: "You are a champion!"
>
>The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
>
>Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.
>It gives you
>back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our
>actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.
>
>If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This
>relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; Life will give
>you back everything you have given to it."
>
>YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!
