Probably something in the breastmilk (that you were eating) was causing
him harm.  Probably not the breastmilk itself.  Did you start on the
dairy after he was born?  Possibly your body was trying to tell you to
avoid it when you were pregnant, which is lucky than most.  Both
cravings and illness of foods in pregnancy are "messages" from our
bodies.
