Dana,

        You were smart to get off Valium. Opiates have never been my thing.
In '83 when I had four by-passes, I was on hydrocodone for about 3 weeks. I
would wake up at 4:00 AM, pop a pill and read a true Viet Nam war book
until I got sleepy. I started wondering why I was depressed all the
time!!!! I was also on Halcion(now, that will gork you out coompletely!
