Here is a suggestion to the problem of printer sharing. I haven't tried it
with HP printers, so I don't know for sure if it will work, but if the
HP printer driver insists on wanting to print to lpt1, then let it. To get
it to forward to a network printer, open the properties for the printer,
click on the "Details" tab, and select "Capture Printer Port". This will make
the driver think it is printing to lpt1, but by entering the network path
to the actual location, Windows 95 will re-direct it to the network printer.

This has worked for me for other types of printers (most useful when you need
to make a DOS application in a DOS box or full screen DOS session print to
a network printer).
