One very interesting tool I've been thinking about
purchasing is the Post Mortem Diagnostic Card, which
plugs into an ISA slot and diagnoses a motherboard
before video card is initialized.
Has anyone tried this one? It's only US$68.

Other software I use include the following:

Hardware Info

Detailed analysis of hardware/some benchmarking

PC-Config

Benchmarking/Diagnosis Software

What CPU
http://www.datadepo.com/whatcpu.sht
Tools for identifying CPUs and much more.....

BCM Utilities

Hardware Diagnostics

All of these companies have free trial or crippled
programs. Give 'em a shot and let us know which you
like best!

Take care,
Chad
