Irena:

Probably your system finishes its POST and looks for the
boot drive before the hard drive has reached operational
speed.

Try enabling the full memory count and/or full tests in CMOS
to give the hard drive a little more time to come up to speed
before the boot cycle.

If you have a computer with a full complement of drives
and cards installed, you might consider swapping out your
power supply for one with more wattage. If you have a 200w,
go to a 300w power supply.
