Leaving out the /S on the format command means it will NOT copy the system files to
make the disk bootable. I set up new computers at work by booting to Win 95 (DOS),
running the Network Clients, reformating the hard disk, SYS'ing the HD (since I do
not have enough convential memory for the /S option with FORMAT) copying the setup
files to the local HD from the network and running setup from the local C: drive.

I understood that the "s" was necessary on a system disk. What are the
consequences of leaving it out?
