A couple of weeks ago there was a thread regarding using two modems to speed
web access. In the February 9 issue of PC Week magazine on page 120 there
is an article about a new software package called WebRamp from a company
called Ramp Networks Inc. The software requires two analog modems, two
telephone lines and two ISP accounts. The modems can be different speeds or
from different vendors and the software compensates for the slower
connection by channeling more traffic to the faster of the two modems. One
of the data lines can even be disconnected for telephone use in the middle
of a session without interrupting the session. The article goes on to say
that WebRamp PC is available now for a free 30-day trial from the Ramp
Networks site at www.rampnet.com. After the trial period it will cost $49.
Just thought you might like to know...
