  Whoops.
  This board doesn't offer a BIOS setup option to enable/disable COM
ports, nor jumpers to do so.  This is for the simple reason that the
board *HAS* no COM ports.  [It's a 486 VLB board.  Most PCI boards
provide IDE/EIDE, floppy, parallel and serial ports on the
motherboard.]

  Therefore, if there's a COM2 in the machine, it's on some sort of
I/O card.  [This might be a VLB card providing IDE/EIDE, floppy,
parallel (printer), joystick, and two serial ports, all in one.]
  In order to disable COM2, you'll probably need to change some
jumpers on this card.  If you're lucky, these will be labelled, but
the more likely case is that you need to find a manual for this card.
[VLB cards providing IDE/EIDE often included special drivers for
32-bit access, so you may see something in CONFIG.SYS that will help
in identifying the card.]
