I would greatly appreciate it if listmembers who had rosacea clear up on
a gluten-free diet would contact me. I developed a red nose about four
years ago that won't go away, except twice: once when I went on a
partial fast (nothing but grapes) and once during a week in which I was
eating a lot of spinach (I theorized the roughage kept whatever toxin
was involved moving through my system).

Clearly this is dietary in origin but I hadn't considered it might be
rosacea, being unfamiliar with the disease, until I read your posts and
did a net-search for other symptoms. I am not gluten-free (the
endomysial antibody test came back negative) and don't have a lot of the
obvious celiac symptoms others describe, so have had a hard time
deciding whether gluten is really a problem for me, but the hope of
getting rid of this would be enough to make me take the plunge. I am
dairy-free, but this has not had an effect on this problem.

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone with this condition, when
they got it, how bad it got, and how fast it resolved itself (if indeed
it did). Also, whether or not other skin problems accompanied it. I will
summarize to list.

Thanks,
