Hi there-
I had read that Swanson's Chunk White Chicken and Turkey products were GF,
but noticing Modified Food starch on the label of my chicken I called the
company to be sure. I spoke with a very helpful and pleasant woman who
informed me that most often the food starch is from corn or potato, but
very occasionally it is from wheat. Just wanted to let anyone know who
might have thought it was GF- it may be risky. The company is the Cambell
Soup Co. and their number is 1-800-232-6736.
I also wondered if anyone has information on chewing gum. I am an avid
Trident chewer, probably a bad habit anyway, but I am concerned about "gum
base" and what exactly it is made of. I also wonder if flour is dusted on
the gum . I called the company and was told that the all Trident is GF, but
I got the feeling that the man I spoke to was a bit confused and labeled it
GF because the ingredients didn't scream out WHEAT. The number for Warner
Lambert Co. , the makers of Trident, is 1-800-223-0182. Any info would be
appreciated- I'm still adjusting to  this very big dietary change! This
