Just reading my new issue of the Autism Research Review Int'l.

There's a publication by the Univ. of Rome - "Abnormal Intestinal
Permeability in Children With Autism" in which 9 of the 21 autistic children
tested had an altered intestinal permeability, while none of the 40 controls
did.

They concluded that "an altered intestinal permeability could represent a
possible mechanism for the increased passage through the gut mucosa of
peptides derived from foods, with subsequent behavioral abnormalities."
