Two months ago my internist suggested a diagnosis of "gluten-sensitive
enteropathy" and referred me to a hospital dietecian who helped me get
started on a gluten-free diet. I'm getting the hang of the diet and am
feeling much better.
To be certain I'm doing everything necessary to protect my health, I've
made a follow-up appointment with a gastroenterologist for later this
month. Can someone recommend any specific questions I should ask, or
any tests I might want to request?
One concern is that I'm not getting adequate nutrition because I've had
some joint pain, depression, and fatigue. After doing some research on
the internet, I did start taking a good multi-vitamin, minerals, and an
essential oil. I also take digestive enzymes with meals.
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!
