Sara, I have been told in the Dr's office, and at the hospital that this is
quite common.  Yes it is the adhisive, but I have never been told that it
has gluten in it.
 
BTW, I have noticed that the "flexible" cloth type bandaids never give me a
rash, only the plastic strips do.
