Hi!
I'll ask a question someone has surely asked before. Sorry!
I know that in the U.S. celiacs can gain income tax deductions for the extra
expenses brought about by following a gluten-free ("free" taken in its non
pecuniary meaning!) diet on a documented medical basis. What is the
situation in Canada? I just got off the phone speaking with a taxation
officer in Montreal who said "Helas!", no such deductions exist.
I'm not hopeful because he said that he had done research on the subject
following an earlier query on a similar subject...
I would really appreciate an answer: I haven't been diagnosed for very long
and the cash-register receipts are already building up. Should I just burn
them all and delete my Excel file?
