Hi Maureen -

Your request certainly resonated with me regarding difficulty finding
recipes. was diagnosed with systemic candida a little over a year ago -
leaky gut and gluten intolerance (along with a whole range of other health
issues). I was so confused for such a long time. I haven't found the
"perfect cookbook" - but instead have found that I have to take appropriate
recipes from different books. A couple of books that I found helpful were

"The Yeast Connection Cookbook" William G. Crook, M.D. and Marjorie
                                            Hurt Jones, R.N.
They do include some gluten free
                                            recipes. The companion book "The
                                            Yeast Connection" was very helpful
                                            to me

"Going against the Grain" Wheat free cookery - Phyllis Potts
They have some dairy free etc...

I have another great little cookbook - but when I went for it I realized
that I ave loaned it out and can't remember the name of it. I have just
looked at sources in my community - Health Food Store - and put notices on
bulletin boards and asked a LOT of people.

The other thing is to request the recipies from the list and just go through
and find the ones that follow your guidelines. It is not easy - but
doable... We are attempting to go vegitarian and vegan on top of the other
- makes for a complicated life...

But after eating ice cream last night - then being up half the night with
cramps and diarrhea - I know it is worth it. I just hope to be able to be
strong enough to continue the process. This is not easy.

Thanks to everyone on the list for your help and support. Every day I bread
through a little more denial...(I just re-read this and realized I wrote
"bread" instead of "break" - ironic...decided to leave it...)

One question I would like to put out there. What I am not hearing (reading)
is people reporting the food addictions and cravings I seem to have. The
more I get into balance the better they are - but have others experienced
the same thing? And will it ever go away? I have always had a weight
problem...What explanation is there that most celiacs are low weight and I
am not? Is there a component I am not aware of yet?

Thanks for your help -

Yours in health,

Amy
