Missy & I want to thank all the people who took the time to respond to my
posting a couple of weeks ago - you were all very, very helpful.

We wanted to share the info rec'd & let you all know how things have
progressed.

First - largely due to one of your responses, we finally realized that the
nasty episode she was experiencing was due to exposure to solvents at home.
(We both have new respect for environmental sensitivities). In addition,
she also switched to a liquid form of Zantac which is gluten free and seems
to be working beautifully.

Missy is doing much better. In the meantime, she also went to a "specialist"
- who (in one short visit) informed her that she is not celiac - merely
gluten intolerant and that her main problem was depression - for which he
prescribed a tri-cyclic anti-depressant (yes - it did contain gluten). He
also told her that any information gotten from the internet or this list is
essentially useless... After she recovered from the shock, she went back to
her regular internist for the liquid Zantac and some support. We keep
telling each other that the specialist simply can't tell anything at all for
sure without at least doing a blood test etc. He shattered Missy's universe
for awhile. Oh well.

Last, but not least, english muffin rings are available from The Baker's
Catalogue, King Arthur Flour, 1-800-827-6836. They were wonderful over the
phone and the catalog is even better. Several people suggested taking both
the top and bottom off tuna cans - this worked quite well too.

Thanks again to all.
