Hi,

Sherrill Roberts recently wrote concerning Russel Reiter's new book on
Melatonin and its possible benefits when used by people with autism. I
thought you'd be interested to know that Professor Reiter was on the
TODAY SHOW earlier this week and at the end of the short interview he
mentioned groups such as Alzheimer's patients and autistic people who
are sometimes helped by melatonin. Then a list came on the screen of
people who should not take melatonin. This included pregnant women,
people with allergies and those with autoimmune problems. I am
wondering whether anyone has insight on the implications of this for
autistic people who have celiac or food and/or environmental allergies.

Thanks,
Harriet Barnett
