This is interesting to me. I have not yet received a diagnosis
of celiac, and hope I'm not just succumbing to suggestion as a
result of reading the list. I originally subscribed because I want
to know more about the relationship of ADHD and celiac. However,
the more I read, the more of my own symptoms and patterns I see.

I've been having acute intestinal problems for the past several months
and recently had a couple lower GI exams: barium enema and flex sig.
After these exams, with their purging preparations, my symptoms were
much better. I'm starting to experience difficulties again, though.

I think there might be a benefit to a cleansing followed by a return
to the strict GF diet, but think it could be quite harmful if practiced
regularly. It sure wasn't any fun getting ready for those tests. Just
my $.02. Remember, I'm new and don't know very much, but I had a
similar experience to the one Jay described.

Regards,
Julie
