Although this is the first time I have written I have downloaded all previous
logs and have kept current on the Celiac mail and I would like to thank
everbody for such great information.
I have a question. I discovered an unusual homeopathic "intestinal
cleansing" technique that I tried on myself a couple of weeks ago and I was
wondering if anybody else has tried this or if it is unwise to use.
I mixed 4 teaspoons of purified sea-salt in 2 quarts of hot but drinkable
distilled water. This was first thing in the morning and on an empty stomach
before I had anything else to drink. I guzzled the first quart and then drank
the second quart within the next 20 minutes. This was more than a little
difficult to do. But within the next 45 minutes it ALL came out the other end
bringing everything in my intestines along with it. (I tried this only
because I was having the beginings of a gluten reaction and figured it would
be worth a try.) I then continued to drink a lot of water and fruit juices to
keep from getting dehydrated. It took a couple of days to get things moving
smoothly again but it sure beat 4-6 weeks of the alternative.
Has anybody else heard of this? Is it intestinal suicide?
Thanks and good health, Jay Strauss
