Harry,

Take a deep breath and think through the situation.  Any computing device which includes computers and phones can freeze.  That is just the nature of how electronics work.  Changing what device you use won't solve the freezing problem.  If you can't get the computer to boot up, see if you can get sighted assistance.  You could try pressing the power button.  There is always a risk that some Windows update might be in process.  Chances are your computer is just stuck and the only option is using the power button.  If you do power off the computer, wait a few seconds before you press the power button again.
