Rebecca:
It sounds as though you may have a sound card issue. I would take it back to Best Buy for a look.

Subject: [VICUG-L] Crackling Sound When Using Jaws on My Computer

I'm using an all-in-one Dell computer, and it has had lots of issues, which Dell has fixed. I've only had it three months.

I've had difficulties with the keyboard, which has been replaced, and
with the USB port for an SD card, which the tech seems to have worked
out over the phone.

But now, when I listen to Jaws, there's this crackling sound, as though
there's a short somewhere.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can try before calling Dell
or taking it Best Buy where I bought it?

This long email is because I wanted to give some context for this issue.
I'm using the most recent update for Jaws 17. Thanks.
