That might be worth a try. I've been calling around to various headset 
places, and the closest I've come is a somewhat expensive Sure broadcast 
headset that is dual sided like this, but the description suggests it comes 
with unterminated cables. I never knew radio stations plugged that type of 
thing in with a bare wire.
