While he may find an hf rig at a good price, he can certainly run this 
thing on ten and be legal.  All the guy did was ask for a manual and you 
are all coming down on c b people and radios.  My first radio was an old 
he 20 I converted to ten, back in 1968 and I had a blast with that thing. 
It was the only radio I had for a while.  I don't know how much you have 
to invest in this radio, but might be worth looking for something you can 
either do keyboard entry or get a synthesizer for.  This is the churchkey 
base signing off for now.
