Sounds to me, like they may be leaving the blind market behind, and going in
some other way.
I wonder what money their is to be made in developing aps?
I remember the transition from dos to windows, and how many people couldn't
make the jump, especially in the software developement industry.
Kurzweil got a huge jump on Openbook, because it wasn't working with the
legacy of a dos program, and trying to adapt it to a windows environment.
They were starting fresh with windows.
Maybe the same is true with the next technological jump.
It sure doesn't increase faith in a company that has done very many
inovative and wonderful things.
Podcasts, mobile network, affordable OCR, intigration of voice input, the
high per centage of blind employees; well up to last week anyway.
Serotek has done many very good things, but it is hard to make money that
way.
The free satogo account has dug me out of trouble fixing other people's
computers hundreds of times.
