Hey, Steve.

Congratulations on the CQ WPX totals!!

As far as I know, you did the best of any of us.

So, yes, I think we can safely say that your CW contesting skills are
definitely coming along nicely.

Sorry we didn't cross paths.

I, too, find contests like these to be a bit more tedious than many of the
usual contests I do. One thing that always gets me is how the big guns send
their contest exchange so quickly (probably at about 50 words a minute or
so), that people like me need to ask them for a repeat. As a result, in the
end, I'm not sure how much time that saves any of us.

Anyway, the contest for me was a fun outing, so now, it's onto the next one.
For me, it will be Field Day on June 21--22.

At least, with Field Day, I'm not quite so much out of my element.

Mike,

Sorry I didn't cross paths with you, or anyone else from the list. As
usual, my CW phobia had me just tinkering around for the first half of
the weekend, but Saturday night, with about 65 in the log, I figured I
would hit it a little harder.

Working around my church schedule on Sunday, I managed to log 505
contacts, 337 mults, and a score just over 463K. For me this was a
big outing. I do think my CW contesting skills are (slowly) improving.

Hope you had fun. As hard as it is for me to get started in one of these,
once I get into it, I really enjoy it.

73, Steve KW3A
