Someone please feel free to educate me here if I'm wrong but if the 
TMV71A only gives access to the 2 meter and 440 meter bands, what makes 
it any more useful than the dual band HT's that afford the same access?
I've heard a lot about the kenwood rig but have yet to hear anything 
that could be considered a significant advantage over a simple HT.
