Hi,

I don’t know if it’s true or not, I’m still trying to determine this. (I bought one from an eBay seller that was already unlocked.) However, once it is unlocked, it is very easy to program from the keyboard. OK, perhaps not “very easy”, because there are a few steps, but certainly no harder than the Wouxun kG-UVD1P, and probably a little easier than that.
